The Town that never retired (Preston) pensioners worked to death, ?

When i was a schoolkid i used to come home from school and expected my mother who was nursing my sick father as well as bringing me up, to have meals on the table to order.  I could be forgiven as a child for not understtanding how difficult raising a family can be.  My long suffering mum used to be fairly philosophical about this and the only complaint i hever heard was her occasional outburst of " Talk about wear the old ones out first.  My Dads wartimg working life was curtailed by the damage to his health caused by  standing in a water filled trench every night at Salford Docks with a couple of Anti Aircraft Guns, taking pot shots at the Luftwaffe who flew over each night to carry out a varying range of redevelopment work in the Manchester and Salford Area.   H:is main reward for this was chronic and occasionally acute bouts of bronchil asthmam abd arthritis and an fairly early death.   My mother shared this in the form of a dickensian Pention  which was not enough for them to afford even a council house rent.  Now the bad times are coming again and as seen on BBC 1 and the I Player the government are trialling extend working lives into what was formally retirement in their seventies or eighties.  Niether employers or customers are likely to be satisfied with this. Many though willing to give it a try are unlikely to fare very well with this. As age increases concentration falters and many young people let alone the aged are not even computer literate and this is a skill which is now taken as a requirement in most modern jobs and industries suck it and see what .....

is now being trialed and eventually required by this government of the Apes. Look out for the spread of Hells Pensioners and the disorder they are likely to spreada accidentally or otherwise.
I have no problem with this idea providing that it is a voluntary scheme, but it is morally and ethically indefensible  to have any form of compulsion,  its always going to be embarassing for older people to be reminded of what they can no longer do and this scheme impels this towards.  Will fat cat bankers continue to work into their seventi3es and eighties i wonder,???   I think not, many of the professionaly classes have quite probably ever had to do full working days over a prolonged period and come pension time these people will take their (or maybe even other peoples money and leg it.

Perhaps this fine and stupid idea could be tried on members of both houses to see just what is being expected of the  elderley and what this will do to the views and action of the electorate when they get the choice to vote about it at a later date of course.

For a start we could set the likes of mr C A Moron, our far from d ear leader to shovelling up shit, he produces enough of it so he should be held responsible for cleaning up his own mess and not reward idle his time away giving other people problems and complication they really do not need. via is cohorts and his friends rather than rewarding his fellow crooks for their misdeeds.  My parents generation fought in a couple of world wars to put a halt to tyranny and oppression and i for one, owe it to my parents to caontinue this fight.  We spent a lot of time preparing to fight off nazis from the shores of the UK, not realising that we had already been invaded. by a bunch of crooks, liars and swindlers we really do deserve a good slapping and may yet receive one id rhwy continue with these policies (sic)
